Editing Dictionaries
You can add words to a custom dictionary when you spell check content and click the "Add to Dictionary" button for highlighted words. When a word is added to the custom dictionary, it is not flagged as a questionable spelling in the future; Capture simply moves on to the next misspelled word.
A separate dictionary is created for each language used. If you want to make changes to a custom dictionary, you can do so using the steps below.
How to Edit a Dictionary
- Select Edit > Edit Dictionary.
- Select the dictionary that you want to edit (if there is more than one).
- Click OK. The Dictionary Editor opens.

Edit the dictionary by doing any of the following.
Edit an Existing Word
- Click a word in the dictionary.
- Press F2 on your keyboard.
- Retype the word.
- Press ENTER.
Add a New Word
- In the local toolbar, click
. A new row is added with a temporary word ("NewWord").
- Click on the temporary word.
- Press F2 on your keyboard.
- Type the word that you want to add to the dictionary.
- Press ENTER.
Add an Internal Comment
- Click in the Comment column next to the word.
- Press F2 on your keyboard.
- Type the internal comment.
- Press ENTER.
Delete a Word
- Click the row with the word that you want to delete.
- In the local toolbar, click
