Setting Screen Tips and Alternate Text for Flare Images

You can provide a screen tip and/or alternate text for an image to be inserted into a Flare project. A screen tip is a phrase that appears when the end user hovers over the image. Alternate text displays when the image is not available, such as when a disabled individual is using a screen reader. A screen tip or alternate text can be added at the point when you insert the image into Flare. However, you also have the choice of providing the screen tip or alternate text from Capture instead.

How to Set Screen Tips and Alternate Text

1. Open the image.
2. Double-click the image.
3. In the properties dialog, select the Project tab.
4. Complete the Screen Tip and/or Alternate Text fields.
5. Click OK.
6. Click to save your work.
