About Images
You can insert images into Word source documents, which are then included in your output.

A folder named "Media" is automatically created for Doc-To-Help projects. It is recommended that you store your image files in that folder.
Note If your source documents have a .docx extension, the Media folder should be a subfolder of the Documents folder (the folder in which Doc-To-Help stores all of your source documents). This change can be made quickly using Windows Explorer.

When you insert an image in a Word source document, it is recommended that you use the following steps.
- Select Insert > Pictures. The Insert Picture dialog opens.
- Find and select your image.
- From the Insert drop-down, select Insert and Link.
Note Cutting and pasting images into your documents is not a good best practice, because it increases file size and makes your graphics hard to edit and manage.

For online outputs, you can create hotspots from an image that link to topics, keywords, or groups.
In addition, you can split an image (or a region you have already created) into equal hot regions.
