Creating Groups

Groups can be built quickly and easily using the Index and Groups view in the Doc-To-Help Project Panel, and the Topics window in Doc-To-Help. See About Groups.

  1. In Doc-to-Help, open the Index and Groups view in the Doc-To-Help Project panel.

  2. Click the Groups button .
  3. In the Groups pane, click the Add New Group button in the local toolbar.
  4. An editable group name will be created, titled "New Group." Type the new group name within the box.
  5. (Optional) Groups can be renamed or removed using the Rename or Remove Group toolbar buttons.
  1. Create a group.
  2. In the Keywords/Groups view, select the group to highlight it.
  3. Drag a topic from the Topics window into the bottom half of the Keywords/Groups view.

Note Groups should always have more than one topic assigned to them.

Note Any new groups created using this method will also be added to the Index and Groups window pane in the Doc-To-Help Project panel. You can create links to groups by dragging and dropping a group from this window pane into your document. See Index and Groups Window View (Doc-To-Help).
