Compacting a Project File
Doc-To-Help includes a project-compacting utility that can reduce the size of your project file. Doc-To-Help automatically checks and compacts your project when it is opened, or any time a noticeable increase in size is detected, but you can run it manually if you wish.

- Make sure you close all Doc-To-Help projects before using the compact utility.
- Select File > Tools > Compact Project. The Open Doc-To-Help Project dialog opens.
- Choose the project (.d2h file) and click Open. The project is compacted. A message box informs you when the process is complete.
- Click OK.
