How End Users Submit Comments

Users can enter comments on your Help topics. These comments may be viewed (and replied to) by all other users viewing the output.

How end users submit comments

  1. In the output the end user opens a Help topic.
  2. In the Comments area at the bottom of the Help topic, the end user click the Add Comment button .
  3. If it is the user's first time submitting a comment, the user may be required to complete the registration process, providing information such as user name, email address, and more.

  4. In the Add Comment dialog, the end user provides a subject and enters a comment.

  5. The end user clicks the Submit button.

Note: If you want end users to be able to enter Feedback comments in the online output, you need to enable comments. This is done by opening the skin in Flare that is associated with the target, selecting the Feedback tab, and clicking Display topic comments at the end of each topic. For more information, see the online Help in Flare.

Note: An end user can also click on an existing comment from another user and click the Reply to Comment button .

Note: You can modify the interface elements that readers encounter when submitting feedback in your output. This includes changing the text that users see when performing the registration process. For more information see Flare's online Help.
