Method 1: Full-Service Translation

The easiest approach to getting material translated into another language is engaging MadTranslations, MadCap's full-service translation and localization division. You send your Flare project to MadTranslations, and at the end of the process you get a translated Flare project back.

Pros

MadTranslations offers complete end-to-end translation and localization services for any language.

This is a great option if you want to be guided through the translation process, and want it all done for you. When the project is done, you receive a fully functional Flare project.

MadTranslations is ISO certified.

Cons

Full-service might sound costly but it proves to be more cost effective considering quality translation services and industry professionalism in return.

Full-Service Workflow

The overview process in using MadTranslations as your translation approach is simple in that your focus remains on the source language project.

  1. Author Creates source project in source language with Flare.
  2. Author Sends a completed Flare project (FLPRJZIP) to MadTranslations, and tells MadTranslations what target(s) need to be translated into which languages. See Zipping Projects.
  3. MadTranslations Provides a quote.
  4. Author Approves the quote.
  5. MadTranslations Translates the material and delivers the translated Flare project(s) back to the author. If required by the client, the translator also provides the Lingo project and translation memories (i.e., TMX files) created during the project.
