Editing File Tag Sets

You might need to edit a file tag set from time to time. For example, if you have a file tag set designed to hold author names and you hire a new writer, you need to open the file tag set and add that author's name. You also might decide to change the tag type (e.g., change "Author" to "Contributor").

How to Edit a File Tag Set

  1. Open the Project Organizer.
  2. Double-click the Advanced folder.
  3. Double-click a file tag set to open it.
  4. Do any of the following:

    To Add a Tag

    1. In the local toolbar of the File Tag Set Editor, click the New item button New Item button. A new row is added.
    2. Press F2 on your keyboard.
    3. Replace the temporary tag name with a new one.

    To Change the Tag Type

    1. In the local toolbar of the File Tag Set Editor, click the Tag Type: [Name] button.
    2. In the dialog, enter a new name for the tag type.
    3. Click OK.

    To Rename a Tag

    1. Click the tag and press F2 on your keyboard.
    2. Type a new tag name.
    3. Press ENTER on your keyboard.

    To Change or Add Comments for a Tag

    1. Click in the Comment cell of the tag.
    2. Press F2 on your keyboard.
    3. Type comments for the tag.
    4. Press ENTER on your keyboard.

    To Delete a Tag

    1. Click on the tag row that you want to delete.
    2. In the local toolbar click Use delete to empty contents..
  5. Click Save the active file. to save your work.
