Following are the new features available in Mimic 8.2.

Note These are all features that were added to MadCap Flare in the past and have been inherited by this new release of Mimic.

Command Line Activation

  • Activate (or deactivate) Mimic from the command line
  • Helpful for companies using imaged machines and not able to activate Mimic from the user interface
  • Available only for customers with enterprise floating licenses

Interface Themes Redesigned

  • Different look for black, classic, and silver themes

Start Page Redesigned

  • Page options on left
  • License expiration banner
  • Responsive to window size
