Using the Zoom/Scale Feature

The top part of the Frame Editor includes a toolbar that lets you use zoom/scale features to better see your frame .

You can use some of the buttons in this toolbar to adjust the display of the frame in the Frame Editor. Note that the frame is scaled only so that you can more easily see it in the editor. The actual frame size is not adjusted for the output.

How to Use the Zoom/Scale Feature

  1. Open a movie frame.
  2. Do one of the following, depending on the part of the user interface you are using:
    • Ribbon Select the Tools ribbon and choose one of the following.

      Increases the scale of the image each time you select the option.

      Reduces the scale of the image each time you select the option.

      Resets the scale of the image to 100%.

      Resizes the frame to fit the width of the current size of the Frame Editor.

      Resizes the frame to fit the height of the current size of the Frame Editor.

    • Local Toolbar Hold down the spacebar to activate hand mode. To exit hand mode, release the space bar.

      Opens a submenu which lets you choose which master frames are visible in the Frame Editor. See Showing and Hiding Master Frames.

      Increases or reduces the scale of the frame. Use the drop-down to select a scale between 12.5% and 1600%.

      Reduces the scale of the frame each time you click the button.

      Resets the scale of the frame to 100%.

      Increases the scale of the frame each time you click the button.

      Scales the frame so that its width fits in the Frame Editor.

      Scales the frame so that its height fits in the Frame Editor.
