Miscellaneous Updates

This Flare Desktop release includes many improvements to the software. The following are some notable updates.

• Configuring the Web Server for Elasticsearch The current Windows Hosting Bundle to download when installing Microsoft .NET Core for Elasticsearch is updated to 8.0. See Configuring the Web Server.

• Inline SVG Support Inline scalable vector graphics (SVGs) are supported to display in PDF output, and CSS variables defined in the SVG code will render in the printed output. See Images.

• Multiple-Word Synonyms Support for more than one-word synonym relationships, including hyphenated words in synonyms and phrases (e.g., centerline=center line=center-line). See Creating Synonyms.

• ServiceNow® Credentials The MadCap OAuth application includes a Scope Restriction default property update. The value Broadly scoped must be selected. See Retrieving ServiceNow® Credentials.

• SFTP Destination Editor When creating a destination file using SFTP, the Connection mode field and Active or Passive values are no longer available. See Creating Destination Files Using Secure File Transfer Protocol.
