The Start Page is a handy window pane that displays when you first launch Feedback Explorer and remains open unless you close it. This window pane consists of three sections (Recent Files, Getting Started, and News and Updates), which contain links to high-level tasks and information.

How to open the Start Page

Explain the buttons and sections

Button/Section	Description
Open an Existing File	Lists Feedback Explorer files that you have already created in Feedback Explorer. They are listed in order of how recently they were opened. Click on a link to open it.
View the Getting Started Guide	Opens the Getting Started Guide in PDF format. This guide contains portions of the online Help in manual form.
Create a New Local Target	Opens the New Local Target dialog, which lets you create a new configured Feedback file. This simply means to enter the appropriate Feedback server and key for a target that you want to track.
Browse the Help System	Opens Feedback Explorer's online Help TOC window pane on the left side of the interface. Click on the different books and TOC entries to find the information you need.
Search the Help System	Opens Feedback Explorer's online Help Search window pane on the left side of the interface. Enter keywords in the Search field to find the information you need.
Visit the Help Community	Opens the MadCap Forums. This is a place where, upon joining, you can read posts from other Feedback Explorer users and create your own posts about any subject concerning Feedback Explorer.
News and Updates	Lists links to a variety of information that changes periodically. This might include software updates, information about a trade show where you can meet Feedback Explorer representatives, or other news about Feedback Explorer.
