Frames Window Pane

This window pane displays the individual frames for the active movie (in sequential order), with the first frame at the very top and the last frame at the very bottom of the window pane. When you click on a frame in this window pane, a larger version of it displays in the Frame Editor.

You can use this window pane to perform the following tasks for frames.

Some frames may be regular, while others might contain full-motion video (FMV). This is a mode of video recording that you can use to capture actual movement (e.g., if you want to record a video playing on your computer). FMV also occurs, for example, when you drag your mouse or sometimes when you type text during a movie recording. This creates a smoother visual in the output. When using the Frames window pane, a film strip image on a frame indicates that it is using FMV. See Selecting the Recording Mode.
